Policy dialogue: International investment and the transmission of gender policies and practices
ITC SheTrades, in collaboration with UNCTAD, is organizing a series of onlline policy dialogues on the AfCFTA.
The series kicks off with a policy dialogue on “International Investment and the Transmission of Gender Policies and Practices”. During this session, we will discuss state-of-the-art research and policy options on the role of foreign investment and multinational enterprises (MNEs) in promoting inclusive development.

About the speaker
Dr. Amelia U. Santos-Paulino is Chief of the Investment Research Section at the UN Trade and Development (UNTAD), and previously worked at UNU-WIDER and the University of Sussex.
She was a Senior Economist at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic and Senior Advisor in the US-DR-CAFTA negotiations.
Dr. Santos-Paulino also held full-time and visiting posts at prestigious academic institutions worldwide. Her research is published in renowned journals and edited books. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kent in the UK.
