What is a SheTrades group?

How does it work?

SheTrades Verifiers can create groups and facilitate discussions. Groups will be visible for all SheTrades users. The group content can be classified as public or private.

You can find and join SheTrades groups by searching for groups from the Search field. Please note that there may be multiple groups on SheTrades for each interest, organisation, or affiliation. Once you find a group, read the description to see if it fits your needs.

How to join a SheTrades group?

Verifiers can invite their networks to join groups they have created. If you receive an invitation from a group, please respond to it promptly.

    ARE YOU WORKING IN TOURISM?
Are you a travel operator, a guide, an art craft, food, hospitality entrepreneur, or involved in one of the many jobs related to tourism, running a business that is good for your community, the environment, yourself?
    THIS GROUP IS FOR YOU!
TOURISM MADE BY WOMEN IS A NEW GROWING MARKET, LET’S MAKE IT MOVING!!!

BUT MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE, YOU CAN LEARN FROM DISCUSSING YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH WOMEN LIKE YOU.
    WHY JOIN THIS GROUP?
The features that we are looking for are: the best initiatives inspired by women, single places or Itineraries, that create entities of handcrafts, hospitality, eno-gastronomy, production, quality supply chain. ( https://www.g-r-t.org/images/stories/pdf/grt_six_pillars.pdf) .

Women are extremely adept and competent in creating, marketing, promoting and managing the development of tourism. The increase of female potential offers an advantage to the social and economic (local and global) development for men and women, in all sectors, including tourism.

    We know that :
    • Women are around 60% of workers in tourism and may actually be underrepresented in these numbers.
    • 69% of travelers plan to reach new experiences by living like a local: the development of non-traditional tourism and small-scale tourism as opposed to large scale mainstream tourism is on the rise
    • Where tourism has been used to empower a community, women have been the key for success.
SO, IF YOU ARE AN EXPERT OR A STARTER, IF YOU KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT HOW TOURISM WORKS AND YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE PEOPLE LIKE YOU, THIS IS YOUR GROUP!
